Julie Goeltz was enjoying her practice as a licensed massage therapist in Barrington, New Jersey when a friend who was a Reiki Master Instructor insisted that she get trained in Reiki.

At first, Julie resisted. She was skeptical, having always worked with anatomy and musculature systems. But her friend finally convinced her—something for which she will be forever grateful, since her new skill ultimately channeled Reiki energy which healed her husband.

Not long after Julie began her Reiki training, she got the assignment to practice on someone else. She chose her husband, who had been diagnosed with cancer. He had 32 lymph nodes and his tonsils removed and was going to radiation treatment.

A side effect of that was lymphedema in his neck. It would fill up with fluid, and her husband had to drain it himself using manual lymphatic work. It was getting worse, requiring draining every hour, otherwise it could be life-threatening.

Julie began performing Reiki on his neck, and the lymphedema went away almost immediately. It never came back.

That was the start of a very long list of people Julie has helped heal—or as she would say, she has helped their bodies activate their own healing.

As Julie’s abilities strengthened as a Reiki Master, she realized she can conduct these sessions equally effectively in person or over the phone. Today she performs remote sessions for clients throughout the US and in countries around the world. In 2025 Julie’s gifts were featured by iTunes’ #1 podcast “The Telepathy Tapes.”

Today she and her husband are empty nesters who enjoy their two dogs and visits from their two adult twin children and their grandchild.
